There will be a talk by Imogen Cosier, a recent IT group recruit to the AAO who will give us a bit of an insight into the work that goes on at NASA's Deep Space Tracking Station at Tidbinbilla. Malcolm Hartley (AAO) will give an account of his recent visit to JPL to witness the encounter of the EPOXI mission with comet Hartley 2. Malcolm originally discovered the comet on a UK Schmidt plate in 1986.
