The Sun in H-Alpha Light - 25 Oct 2008
A photograph of the Sun taken through a 150 mm refractor stopped down to 60 mm at f/18.3 with a Canon 40D DSLR using a Coronado H-Alpha filter. The camera was set to ISO 200 and the exposure was 1/10 second. The photograph was taken at approximately 01:56:43 UT and is orientated approximately with terrestrial North at the top and terrestrial West on the right.
